The PCW5000 is a lightweight, portable, gas-powered winch, with 2200 lb (1000 kg) pulling capacity. If you ever need to bring down hung-up trees, pull out-of-reach logs, or get a vehicle un-stuck the Portable WinchTM is for you.
Weighing only 35 lb (16 kg), the Portable WinchTM is easily carried and can be anchored to anything using the 6' (1.83 m) long sling provided or the hitch plate for vehicles. We also offer a wide range of accessories to use with the Portable WinchTM.
In addition to the PCW5000 the PCW3000-LI battery powered winch also weighing only 20 lbs. with the same pulling capacity as the PCW5000 @2,200 lbs.
Now for 2021 an additional model, the PCW4000 has been introduced which weighs 27 lbs. This new winch is equipped with a centrifugal clutch which the PCW5000 does not have. This clutch enables a quick release automatic anti-rollback mechanism.
Made of galvanized steel, the anchor shackle is a tough and durable accessory for nylon slings, as well as polyester slings. Paired with a lifting sling, they help protect the eyes of your sling from wear and tear on clevis hooks.

CMI introduces the new arborist shackle. Starting with a blank 5/8 steel shackle, we machine out the holes to accept a custom built slic pin which cannot be lost at height. Then we zinc plate the entire shackle to prevent rust. A working load limit of 3 1/4 tons rounds out the package. Made in USA.

FEATURES:

This pulley features a new lightweight center plate, re-positioned wheel to reduce rope friction and a rated becket, through which most carabiners can be fully rotated. The RP703 is fitted with tamper-proof rivets and is individually serial numbered.

This new winch is equipped with a centrifugal clutch un-like the PCW5000. As a result, the drum does not immediately start turning at the start of the engine. After having done a few wraps of rope on the drum, all that is left to do is to insert it in the cam cleat, pass it on the exit guide and pull on it when the time comes. This action then engages the centrifugal clutch and the winch starts pulling.
As soon as the tension on the rope is released, the drum stops turning and the anti rollback mechanism does its job by holding the load in position. To free the rope, a simple lateral movement is needed. This gives the user perfect control throughout the pulling operation.
This model also features the most recent Honda GX50 4-stroke 360° inclinable engine. Among its other numerous characteristics, note the smooth performance, proven reliability, emissions compliant, and ease of start-up, of operation and maintenance. Users will therefore have the freedom to use this winch in any conditions and any positions.

Weighing only 33 lb, the Portable WinchTM is easily carried and can be anchored to anything using the 6' long sling provided or the hitch plate (sold separately) for vehicles.
Use the Portable WinchTM with any length of rope (sold seperately). The rope is tied to the object to be moved and wound three times around the capstan drum (sold seperately). When the engine is running, the capstan rotates continuously and the friction created by pulling on the free end of the rope pulls the object. Load will move at a speed from 25 to 40 feet/minute, depending on the weight of the load.
The 2500 lb pulling capacity of the Portable WinchTM compares with the biggest ATV electric winches but offers more advantages:
• Portability (anchors to any tree or stump)

The skidding cone will prevent logs from being stopped by roots, stumps or residual trees. It also protects your valuable trees along the skid path from being damaged.
Made of high-performance polymer plastic, the skidding cone is strong, yet flexible. Its 20" opening (length 26.5 ") allows you to haul large logs or bunches of smaller logs or brush. Use it year round, down to temperatures of -30°C (-22°F).

Made of 1/4" (6 mm), grade 70 steel, the choker-chain is equipped with a special C-hook for quick, secure installation and removal and a 12" (30 cm) long 'needle' letting you slide it easily under logs or through the skidding cone.
